ABOUT

My name is Sydney Burmood and I am an artist. I have been doing graphic design since I was 16 in high school and once I declared my major as art, I decided digital art was the best option in helping me learn more about graphic design. Along with my graphic art on the computer, I also draw a lot and enjoy black and white work. I took a printmaking class because other than digital art that was the art class I enjoyed most. Drawing is something I like to do more on my own than learning in a class. My favorite style of art is surrealism and abstract works of art so that has some play into my aesthetic. When I was in elementary school, I was in honors art, a club for excelling art students. In middle school I experimented a lot in my art classes, figuring out what kind of art I liked. In high school there were classes at a technical school we could take and one of those classes was Graphic Design so I took that for two years and really enjoyed it. This led to figuring out the path I wanted to take for a career. Now being in college I am an art major focusing on digital art and graphic design. Art for me is life. I am so amazed by art on the streets, in museums, in galleries, in bars, literally everywhere. I want to be covered in art, make art, travel the world and see art. I am and artist and my philosophy on art is that it is a beautiful thing and a way of expressing whether it is a painting, a tattoo, or a sculpture, or whatever it may be.
