Faux Selfie

For the faux selfie I created an alter ego of an alien girl. She shows my inner self in ways I want to express. I have her with a third eye as a window to the soul, possibly being my soul. I show the eyes again in the gif and they are in the sky as if someone is always watching you. I have butterflies to represent for me a metamorphosis of the ones close to me that have passed and showing them as turning into a butterfly. I put myself as a skull to show the inevitable of death. I also wanted to have the common theme of color and light to show what I want to portray as a person. The illustration of my actual face stands out but I wanted to show my true self in a vector form. And the owl represents not only my job as a hooters girl but also the wisdom I have obtained while being in school for the same time I have been working at Hooters. Overall I really enjoyed this assignment and not only discovering ways to portray myself but also playing around with photoshop and illustrator.
